Fault Code Database

GE Appliance Error Codes

GE (including GE Profile, Café, and Hotpoint) uses F codes on ovens and ranges and short letter codes on laundry. Coverage varies by product line and model year, so always confirm against your model’s tech sheet. The most-searched GE codes are below.

⚠ Safety first. Unplug the appliance (or switch off its breaker) before touching internal parts. Gas, high-voltage, and sealed refrigerant-system repairs must be done by a licensed professional. If you smell gas or see scorching, stop and call a technician.

Because GE code sets differ between the GE, Profile, Café, and Hotpoint lines, per-model code pages are being added. Browse oven & range codes, washer codes, or return to the brand index.
